To make or record video
Process: Inserting Media, Links, and Accessing Master Slide View in PowerPoint
Open PowerPoint: Launch Microsoft PowerPoint on your computer.
Open or Create Presentation: Either open an existing presentation or create a new one by selecting "Blank Presentation."
Inserting Pictures:
a. Go to the slide where you want to insert an image.
b. Click on the "Insert" tab in the PowerPoint ribbon at the top.
c. Select "Pictures" to choose an image file from your computer.
d. Locate and select the image file, then click "Insert."
Inserting Video or Audio:
a. Navigate to the slide where you want to add video or audio.
b. In the "Insert" tab, choose "Video" or "Audio" based on your content.
c. Select the source for your media (e.g., file on your computer or online source).
d. Locate and select the media file, then click "Insert."
Screen Recording:
a. In the "Insert" tab, click on "Screen Recording."
b. Define the area of your screen you want to record.
c. Click "Record" to start recording.
d. When finished, click the "Stop" button and save the recording.
Inserting a Link:
a. Highlight the text or object you want to turn into a hyperlink.
b. Right-click and select "Hyperlink."
c. In the dialog box that appears, enter the web address or file path you want to link to.
d. Click "OK" to create the link.
Accessing Master Slide View:
a. To modify the overall design of your presentation, go to the "View" tab.
b. Click on "Slide Master" to access the Slide Master view.
c. In this view, you can make changes to the master slide, which will affect the design of all slides in your presentation.
Exit Master Slide View: After making changes in the Slide Master view, close it to return to your normal presentation view. Simply click "Close Master View" or "Slide Master" in the PowerPoint ribbon.
Save Your Presentation: Remember to save your presentation to preserve your work.
Process: Recording a PowerPoint Presentation
Open PowerPoint: Launch Microsoft PowerPoint on your computer.
Open or Create Presentation: Either open an existing presentation or create a new one by selecting "Blank Presentation."
Create Your Slides: Prepare your presentation slides with the content you want to include.
Access the "Slide Show" Tab: Click on the "Slide Show" tab in the PowerPoint ribbon at the top.
Start Recording:
a. In the "Slide Show" tab, locate and click on "Record Slide Show" in the "Set Up" group.
b. A dialog box will appear with recording options. You can choose to record from the beginning or from the current slide.
c. Select "Start Recording."
Narrate and Advance Slides:
a. As you advance through the slides using the arrow keys or mouse clicks, speak into your microphone to provide narration.
b. PowerPoint will record both your voice and the timing of slide transitions.
Use Annotations (Optional): During the recording, you can use the built-in annotation tools to draw or highlight on your slides if needed.
End the Recording:
a. To end the recording, press the "Esc" key or right-click on the slide and select "End Show."
b. PowerPoint will ask if you want to save the timings for the recorded slide show. Choose "Yes" to save the timings and narration.
Review the Recording: You can play back the recorded presentation to review the timing and narration.
Save the Presentation:
a. Save your presentation with the recorded timings and narration. This will create a separate file with the ".pptx" extension.
b. Make sure to keep both the original presentation and the recorded version for future use.
Export the Presentation (Optional): If you plan to share your presentation with others, you can export it as a video by going to the "File" tab, selecting "Export," and choosing the video format you prefer.
Share Your Recorded Presentation: Now you can share the recorded presentation with others, and they can watch it with your narration and slide transitions.
