How to setup a good slide show and its settings
Process: Configuring Slideshow Settings in PowerPoint
Open Your Presentation: Launch Microsoft PowerPoint and open the presentation you want to configure for the slideshow.
Access the "Slide Show" Tab: Click on the "Slide Show" tab in the PowerPoint ribbon at the top.
Start the Slideshow:
a. To start the slideshow from the beginning, click "From Beginning."
b. To start from the current slide, click "From Current Slide."
Slide Show Setup Options:
a. To configure slideshow settings, click on "Set Up Slide Show" in the "Set Up" group.
Configure Slide Show Dialog Box:
a. In the "Set Up Show" dialog box that appears, you'll find several options to customize your slideshow:
"Show Type": Choose between "Presented by a speaker (full screen)" or "Browsed at a kiosk (full screen, no narration or navigation)."
"Show Options": Select whether to show the presentation in a window or full screen.
"Multiple Monitors" (if applicable): Configure how your presentation will be displayed on multiple monitors, if you have them.
"Slide Show Resolution": Set the screen resolution for the slideshow.
"Advance Slides": Choose how slides advance (e.g., manually or automatically after a certain time).
"Use Timings, If Present": If you've rehearsed timings, select this option to use them during the presentation.
"Show Without Narration": Use this option if you want to suppress any recorded narration in your presentation.
"Show Scrollbars": Decide whether to display scrollbars during the slideshow (useful for long slides).
Apply Changes:
a. After configuring the desired settings, click "OK" to apply them.
Rehearse Timings (Optional):
a. To practice your presentation with the configured settings, click "Rehearse Timings" in the "Set Up" group.
b. Go through your presentation, and PowerPoint will record the timing for each slide.
Save Your Presentation: Remember to save your presentation with the adjusted slideshow settings.
Start the Slideshow:
a. To start your slideshow with the configured settings, go back to the "Slide Show" tab and click "From Beginning" or "From Current Slide" as needed.
During the Slideshow:
a. During the presentation, you can navigate through slides using arrow keys, mouse clicks, or specific keyboard shortcuts (e.g., "N" for the next slide, "P" for the previous slide).
