1. Home Menu:
Click on the "Home" tab on the ribbon at the top.
Here, you'll find common formatting tools like font, paragraph, and clipboard functions.
2. Font (Font/Font Size/Font Style/Font Color):
Select the text you want to format.
Click on the "Font" dropdown menu in the "Home" tab.
Choose your desired font, font size, font style, and font color.
3. Paragraph (Bullets & Numbering, Line & Paragraph, Border, Alignment):
Select the paragraph you want to format.
Use the "Paragraph" group in the "Home" tab to apply bullets, numbering, adjust line spacing, add borders, and change text alignment.
4. Style/Table of Contents (Reference):
Styles: Click on the "Styles" group in the "Home" tab to apply predefined formatting styles.
Table of Contents: Go to the "References" tab and click on "Table of Contents" to insert or update a table of contents.
5. Find/Replace:
Press Ctrl + F to open the Find dialog.
Type the text you want to find and specify options.
To replace, click on the Replace tab in the dialog box and enter the replacement text.
6. Clipboard (Copy, Cut, Paste, Format Painter):
Select the content you want to manipulate.
Use "Copy" (Ctrl + C) to duplicate, "Cut" (Ctrl + X) to move, and "Paste" (Ctrl + V) to insert content.
Format Painter: Select the content with the desired formatting, click on Format Painter, and then apply it to other text.
7. Spelling/Grammar (Review):
Go to the "Review" tab.
Click on "Spelling & Grammar" to check for spelling and grammatical errors.
8. Ruler (View):
The ruler is located at the top and left sides of the document.
It helps you set margins, tabs, and indentation.
9. Zoom (View):
Use the zoom slider in the bottom-right corner of the window to adjust your document's zoom level.
Alternatively, you can click on the zoom percentage and select a desired level.
